My Sightings

Date Location Note
-In my yard, high up in a pine tree. Loud rattling call, like most woodpeckers but slower and much louder. Beautiful bird, easily distinguished from any other woodpecker.
Eagle Lake Park@ Eagle Lake park, a new lifer! They are very loud and seem to have a higher pitched call than other woodpeckers. It seemed very timid and would fly away if anyone was within 30 feet of his tree.
